Unencapsulated Mica Paper Capacitors

You can make your own capacitor assembly to uniquely fit available space using unencapsulated capacitor windings potted in place. Wound with high grade mica paper, pressed flat and impregnated with a polymer, unencapsulated capacitors allow you to supply the final package. Use them where weight and size are of concern as in applications like satellites, transmitting power supplies for EMCs and in Foil Initiators.

  • Capacitance Range: 100 pF to several µF
  • Capacitance Tolerance: ±10% is standard, tighter tolerance available.
  • Voltage Range: 1 to 50 kVdc
  • Dissipation Factor: 0.5% @ 25°C, 1% @ 125°C
  • Insulation Resistance:
    • 5,000 Megohm-µF min. @ 25°C
    • 25 Megohm-µF min. @ 125°C
  • Temperature Coefficient: <500ppm/°C
  • Dielectric Withstand Voltage:
    • Typically 120% to 200% of rated voltage depending on rating.
  • Environmental:
    • Vibration Resistance per Methods 201 and 204
    • Moisture resistance per Method 103
    • Shock per Method 213
