REACH LEGISLATION

Cornell Dubilier Electronics, Inc. ("CDE") Position on European Union ("EU") Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals ("REACH") Legislation

CDE has received many communications concerning REACH activities. After working with an EU Representative, CDE finds the following:

Pre-registration number for substances in articles: CDE currently does not have any products that would be considered an article with a substance intended to be released during normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. We therefore do not have a need for pre-registration.

Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) under REACH: CDE currently does not have any chemicals used in the production of any CDE product that are on the published list. We will continue to review as the list is expanded. If CDE determines that there is an item in a CDE product that appears on the list, CDE will declare this to you within 45 days, advise the level, and how to safely handle.
