LAB TECHNICIAN - 1ST SHIFT Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Classification: Hourly

Reports to: Engineering Manager/Lab Manager

Overview: Provide Lab Manager and Engineering departments with test data to ensure the product can be built to the prescribed quality level.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to

v Perform test on electrolytic and mica capacitors

v Perform tests working with high voltage equipment

v Perform qualification test on new designs

v Ensure proper entries are made on test data sheets

v Bring any unusual conditions or equipment malfunctions to the attention of the Lab Manager

v Keep work area neat and clean

v Other Duties as assigned

Job Prerequisites

v Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

v Knowledge of or the ability to learn various measuring devices and electronic test equipment

v Knowledge of chemical Safety Data Sheets

v Good math skills, ability to convert units

v Knowledge of soldering

v Good attendance record

Education Requirements

High school diploma, plus additional tech school or equivalent on the job training/experience

Physical/Mental Requirements

v Full body movement/good eyesight

v Constant alertness

v Exposure to some odors
