PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE - MICA 1ST SHIFT Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Classification: Hourly
STARTING PAY: $10.50/HR Reports to: Department Supervisor
Overview: Build Mica capacitors using epoxy and molds, soldering irons, running a lathe and hi- voltage testing equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Solder sections in stack and assemble in clamps
- Solder leads to terminals
- Perform various tests on capacitors
- Pour molds using epoxy
- Run various types of machines for milling and testing capacitors
- Fill in as needed, anywhere within the department
- Work overtime as needed
- Keep area neat and clean
Job Prerequisites
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn various measuring devices
- Ability to learn various pieces of equipment
- HAAS Lathe operating experience a plus
- Good attendance record
- Production experience a plus
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Full body movement/good eyesight
- Good hand eye coordination
- Constant alertness
- Exposure to some fumes
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
