​QUALITY TECHNICIAN

QUALITY TECHNICIAN – INCOMING INSPECTION 1ST SHIFT Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Classification: Hourly

Reports to: Quality Manager

Overview: Quality Tech will inspect, test, and pull samples of materials and products in the receiving and manufacturing processes to ensure that materials and products fulfill all specifications and quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to

v Perform verification inspections on incoming, in-process and outgoing materials and products

v Setup, operate & program, the Keyence IM Series Image Dimension Measurement System.

v Produce reports and provide feedback to internal and external sources for fixtures needed to hold/measure components under test.

v Record test results and complete AS9102 compliant First Article Inspections (FAI) (May require external training/certification), Material Review Board (MRB) results, Ion Chromatography (IC) test results.

v Prepare lab test submissions

v Identify, match, and interpret external provider documentation (C of C, C of A and provide test data), and complete internal documentation C of C & C of A reports for finished products

v Disposition non-complying materials and parts, prepare reports (communicate with supply chain personnel), process and disposition RMA’s

v QMS system audits (internal audits – per AS9100) – May require external training/certification

v Maintain neat and organized work area

Job Prerequisites

v Ability to read and interpret specifications

v Ability to use specialty tools and gauges when testing materials/products

v Good math skills.

v Knowledge of periodic table of elements

v Ability to learn new processes

v Willing to work overtime as needed

v Good attendance record

Education Requirements

v High school diploma or GED

Physical/Mental Requirements

v Full body movement/good eyesight

v Lifting not to exceed 50 pounds
